Maylandsea Bay Sailing Club - Sandhopper Open - 12/13 July 2025

Great two days sailing at MBSCs Open Meeting. 10 boats, 4 races, wind and no wind, three different race winners. Races 1 & 2 in near perfect conditions. Races 3 & 4 in just about sailing conditions… race 3 finished at the first mark!

Tasty BBQ Saturday evening, with Sandhopper visitors from TBYC and NEW SHIRTS! Plus a wedding celebration for Sue & Phil - congratulations!
Well done to open winners Paul Gray and Julia Batchelor in Wightsand, with Bill and Neil clinching 2nd for Undine, and Kevin and Matt taking 3rd in Wild Gull. A big thank you to Race Officer Paul Wilkinson and his team, and to our sponsors (Waldringfield Boatyard, Woodbridge Boatyard, Tempus and Hunters Solicitors).
