Kestrel Open at MBSC September 20th & 21st

Maylandsea Bay Sailing Club hosted the Eastern Area Kestrel Open on 20th and 21st September.

There were light winds for the first race shifting from NE to SE making it difficult to set a course. The race started wth a collision or 2 close to the line. Kestrel 1574 soon raced in to an unassailable lead to win.

The 2nd Race also started with an incident on the line with Kestrel 1473 breaking their boom. This time the race was a bit closer in stronger winds. 1574 came through again as winners. 2 races were held on the 2nd day with 8 boats including 1473 which had found a replacement and finished the series 2nd and 1636 3rd.
