The Maylandsea Bay S C dinghy fleet enjoys competitive racing with our neighbouring club HBSC sharing responsibility for race officer and safety boats.
This minimises the number of duties and so getting the maximum number of sailors on the water. The joint racing comprises mainly of four series of races, with a number of trophy races throughout the season, culminating in the Blackwater Icicle in January, which is hotly contested by both members and visitors. Safety boat cover is provided for all organised events, however if you just want to go out in your dinghy to cruise or practice, make sure that someone knows that your out on the water, whether the club is open or not.
