Sunday July 24th

The highlight of every year is Maylandsea Bay Week. It originates from Cadet Week, which evolved to Family Week to allow parents to race, and then became Maylandsea Bay Week to allow all members and guests to take part. It takes place during the week with the best tides during the school summer holidays. There is a full week of racing for the dinghy fleet, the keelboat fleet, and also the short course fleet for cadets and less experienced adults. There is a full social programme, with an evening meal and fun and games each night. In the past these have taken the form of karaoke, challenge night, quiz, pub games, barn dance to name but a few. To fill gaps during the day when the tide is out we have had treasure hunts, field games, inflatables, and the mud race is always great fun – whether you are taking part or watching from a safe distance on the Club balcony! Dates for this year are in the Programme, and details will be published when available.
